Getting started
How do I book a storage unit?
Visit our units & pricing page, pick a size that matches your needs, click "Book", and complete signup with your email, phone, and ID number. Pay with credit card, mada, or SADAD. The whole process takes about 10 minutes and your smart-lock access is active immediately after payment.
Do I need to visit the facility before signing up?
No — the entire process is online. However, if you'd like to see the facility first, you're welcome to visit during business hours or schedule a guided tour. Many customers book online without visiting and are happy on day one.
How fast can I move in after booking?
Same day in most cases. Once you complete signup and payment, your unit's smart lock is activated automatically. Drive to the facility, the gate and unit recognize your phone, and you can start moving in immediately.
What documents do I need?
For personal use: Saudi National ID or Iqama. For business use: also bring your Commercial Registration (CR) and VAT certificate so we can issue compliant invoices. Everything is uploaded during online signup — no physical copies needed.
Pricing & payment
How much does a storage unit cost?
Pricing depends on size and tier. Smart-tier units start from around TODO SAR/month for the smallest locker. Premium-tier (with concierge, priority access, and loading help) costs more. See full pricing on our units page.
Are there any deposits or upfront fees?
No deposits. No setup fees. No broker commissions. You pay your first month's rent and start using the unit immediately. The only ongoing cost is your monthly rent.
Are prices inclusive of VAT?
Prices displayed on our website are exclusive of VAT (15%). VAT is added at checkout and reflected on your monthly invoice. For business customers, this VAT is reclaimable through ZATCA.
What payment methods do you accept?
Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, mada), bank transfer, and SADAD. For business accounts, we also support direct bank deposit with invoicing. Auto-renewal is supported for all methods.
Do you offer discounts for longer commitments?
Yes — while our default is monthly billing, you can save 5% (3 months), 10% (6 months), or 15% (annual prepay). No penalty if you switch back to monthly later.
Access & security
When can I access my unit?
24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year. Smart-lock access lets you enter the facility, the elevator, and your unit using your phone — no staff intervention needed.
How does the smart-lock work?
Through the Cubic app on your smartphone. The app uses encrypted communication with the lock — same technology as smart home systems. If you lose your phone, log in from any device to disable old access and activate new.
Can I share access with family or team members?
Yes. For personal accounts, you can add household members with their own access codes. For business accounts, you can issue codes to multiple team members and revoke them anytime — useful when employees join or leave.
Is the facility secure?
Yes — multiple layers: individual smart locks per unit, multi-stage authentication (gate, elevator, unit door), 24/7 HD CCTV with AI-driven analytics, on-site security staff, and full Civil Defense compliant fire systems. See our facility page for full security details.
Contracts & changes
Is there a minimum contract length?
No. We bill monthly with no minimum term. You can cancel anytime with 14 days notice. Many customers stay for 1–3 months only, especially during moves or renovations.
Can I change unit size later?
Yes, anytime. If you need more space, upgrade through your dashboard and we'll help you transfer to a larger unit. If you need less, downsize and pay a smaller rent next month. No fees for upgrading or downgrading.
How do I cancel?
From your dashboard, click cancel. Give us 14 days notice, empty your unit by the last day, and you're done. No cancellation fees, no early-termination charges, no penalty.
What if I forget to pay my monthly invoice?
You'll get an email reminder 3 days before, on the due date, and 3 days after. If payment is overdue by 14 days, your unit access is temporarily restricted but your belongings remain safe. You can settle anytime to restore access. Long-term default policies are in our terms.
What you can store
What can I store in a Cubic unit?
Almost any personal or business item — furniture, appliances, documents, e-commerce inventory, electronics, sports gear, archives, marketing materials. Climate control protects sensitive items like wood furniture, electronics, and paper archives.
What can I NOT store?
For safety and legal reasons, you may not store: live animals, perishable food, hazardous materials (flammables, explosives, chemicals), illegal items, firearms, currency or precious stones (use a bank), or anything prohibited under Saudi law. Full list in our terms.
Can I store business inventory?
Yes — many e-commerce, retail, and service businesses use Cubic for inventory. See our business storage page for details. VAT-compliant invoicing is automatic for registered businesses.
Insurance & liability
Are my items insured?
Cubic provides basic facility insurance covering structural damage, fire, and force majeure. For higher-value items, we recommend supplemental insurance through your home insurance policy or a dedicated storage insurance plan. We can recommend partners if you'd like.
What happens if there's a fire or flood?
Civil Defense compliant fire systems with detection, sprinklers, and suppression on every floor. Our location has no flood history, and the building is engineered against water damage. In rare events covered by facility insurance, claims are processed through our partner insurer.
